Manufacturing Area Lead - 1st Shift

Basic Function:

Responsible for supporting the assigned work area through machine setup, material staging, workflow coordination, operator training, and quality oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machines, perform in-process quality checks, and package components to customer requirements
• Set up and tear down machines
• Stage materials, packaging, paperwork, and inspection equipment for upcoming jobs
• Operate a forklift as needed
• Train operators on processes, safety, and quality requirements
• Monitor product quality and address quality issues
• Address personnel issues with the Operations Manager and other leads
• Inspect equipment daily and report equipment issues
• Identify and support process improvements

Principle Duties:

• Support daily production and workflow within the assigned work area
• Train and support operators
• Maintain quality and safety standards
• Provide leadership and supervision when the Operations Manager is absent

Education amp; Experience:

• Skills: Basic computer and math skills, ability to read and communicate effectively
• Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 3 years of manufacturing experience
• Preferred: Machine maintenance amp; technical experience
