Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides holistic care to patients and their families. This role focuses on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions as per the standards and competencies specific to the assigned service area. The scope of practice encompasses the care of individuals across all age groups, from neonates to older adults.

The RN executes the Standards of Nursing Practice, which includes the following:

• Assessment
• Nursing diagnosis
• Outcome identification
• Planning
• Implementation
• Evaluation

The RN is responsible for developing and revising the patient's plan of care, coordinating care among disciplines, and delegating activities to other healthcare providers as appropriate. The role involves shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices, embracing personal leadership qualities to enhance practice standards and the care environment.

Participation in active practice improvement initiatives is essential to promote exceptional patient care outcomes. Note that variations in duties may occur based on the assigned patient care unit, which may present specific clinical skills expectations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Emergency Room (ER) travel experience
• Certification in BLS and ACLS
• Certification in PALS and TNCC
• Experience with all patient populations
• Trauma Level IV experience
• Experience with Epic EMR

Shift Notes

• 36-Hour Guarantee
• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend
• No on-call duty

Licensure

Current Registered Nurse license in Minnesota is required.
