Clinical Supervisor- Foster Care Hartford

Overview Foster Care Supervisor: Hartford. The Foster Care Clinical Supervisor will be trained in and provide oversight and leadership of the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model, in addition to Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) case management. The supervisor will provide feedback to clinicians and family support specialists in FFT, facilitate weekly team consultation and case reviews, ensure model fidelity, timely documentation in Care4 database of all required materials, and work toward certification of all team members in the FFT model. Maintaining a collaborative partnership with the Department of Children and Families and other community partners is integral to this role. Job Summary Renders assessment and psychotherapeutic services to children and families. Provides clinical and administrative supervision to staff. Participates in Quality Assurance and Utilization Review. Assists in implementing programmatic and agency priorities. Key Responsibilities Provides direct services to children and their families, including assessment and engagement Formulation and contracting for services or treatment plan Implementation of treatment plan and modification as appropriate during the course of treatment Discharge planning with potential linkage to community support services Case management services Clinical documentation required by agency and program policies and funding sources Maintain productivity targets determined by the service Provide clinical and administrative supervision to staff and interns, including orientation, evaluation, and support/monitoring of staff development Collaborate with other clinical and administrative staff to respond to client and programmatic needs, including implementation of agency policies, procedures, and initiatives Identify and develop professional growth plans with the supervisor With supervisor’s approval, coordinate with other programs or clinical staff to address unmet client needs or service gaps Lead or participate in special projects as appropriate Participate in agency-wide task forces, committees, or problem-solving teams as appropriate Represent the Village in community groups or committees to support agency visibility and community linkages Acquire and maintain skills in evidenced-based models that the agency/program ascribes to Staff Training: All FFT FC staff will receive model-specific training. Additionally, Clinical Supervisors will receive advanced FFT FC training and weekly case consultation with FFTFC Model Developers. Experience and Skills EDUCATION Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or other counseling field EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS CT license is strongly preferred or license-eligible Three years of experience working with children and families required Supervisory experience preferred Experience in areas such as family systems theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy, adverse childhood experiences, trauma, child development, substance use disorders, and intimate partner violence preferred Cultural competency to serve a diverse population Our benefits package supports your whole life with comprehensive health coverage, generous paid time off, and employer-matched retirement savings.
