In this role, you will ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and supplier performance.**What You’ll Work On*** Partner with cross-functional leaders to forecast demand for goods, materials, and services* Develop procurement plans, cost estimates, and timelines to support business needs* Evaluate, select, and negotiate with suppliers for key contracts and purchases* Establish purchasing policies, standards, and evaluation tools for supplier selection* Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for bulk buying and cost savings* Monitor market price trends and new product offerings to optimize spend* Manage and strengthen relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors* Ensure consistent delivery of quality, service, and reliability from suppliers* Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing purchasing team* Oversee team performance, resource allocation, and achievement of targets**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field* Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management* Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships* Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate pricing and market trends* Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills**Preferred Qualifications*** Advanced degree (MBA or related field)* Experience in strategic sourcing or category management* Knowledge of procurement systems and tools (ERP, sourcing platforms)* Certification such as CPSM, CPM, or equivalent* Experience driving cost reduction initiatives and process improvements**Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:** your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
