Description

• Assess and evaluate patients from various age groups, utilizing standardized and observational assessments to inform effective interventions.
• Design tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Engage with an interdisciplinary team that includes physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family support, to develop holistic care plans.
• Provide education for patients and their families to facilitate growth towards therapy goals outside of clinic hours.
• Assist with inpatient therapy evaluations on occasion, ensuring seamless care throughout the therapeutic process.
• Keep documentation precise and timely, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
• Participate in continuous learning to stay updated with advancements in the field through educational opportunities and partnerships.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still pending.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
