Role Description The Full Time Lead role at Banana Republic in Denville, NJ is an on-site position responsible for supporting daily store operations and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Lead partners with store leadership to drive sales, ensure product presentation standards, and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching and guiding team members on customer service, wardrobe styling, and selling behaviors, as well as assisting with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and floor supervision. The Lead helps manage inventory flow, supports visual merchandising updates, and ensures adherence to brand, operational, and loss prevention standards. This role also contributes to training new team members, modeling company values, and fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture on every shift. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in retail or customer-facing roles, with strong customer service and clienteling skills. Proven ability to lead by example on the sales floor, including task delegation, basic coaching, and supporting team performance. Comfort with point-of-sale systems, cash handling, and following store operations and loss prevention procedures. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move merchandise as needed throughout a full shift, following all safety guidelines. Interest in fashion, styling, and the Banana Republic brand, with an ability to translate product knowledge into outfitting and selling. Flexible availability to work a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
