Hotel Maintenance Engineer — Keep Guests Comfortable

We provide a corporate culture that values teamwork, a strong work ethic, service to others, and personal balance.SUMMARY: The Engineer performs general maintenance work to ensure the total comfort, safety, and satisfaction of hotel guests and staff; maintains all equipment, buildings, and property in proper condition.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains property including but not limited to guest rooms, public areas, equipment preventive maintenance program; ensures all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specificationsMaintains the hotel’s physical operations including but not limited to refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, laundry machines, swimming pools, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatment, and electric systemsInterfaces with appropriate hotel staff/managers to receive information regarding maintenance needs; ensures timely response to requestsEnsures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies corrected; ensures property is in compliance with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulationsMaintains ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally accepted maintenance skillsPerforms other related duties as assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally accepted maintenance skillsKnowledge of city and state building codes, OSHA requirements, and ADA lawsCommitment to excellence and high standardsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage priorities and workflowVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmProven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skillsGood judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsCreative, flexible, and innovative team playerBilingual skills a plusAbility to understand any and all safety requirements and cautionsAbility to perform the physical labor necessaryEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Requires minimum of 1 year of experience in general maintenance or related fieldPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Continually required to stand, walk, and utilize hand and finger dexterityFrequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawlFrequently utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboardFrequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 poundsFrequently exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat or coldFrequently work near moving mechanical partsOccasionally work in high, precarious placesFrequently work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicalsFrequently exposure to outside weather conditionsOccasionally exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materialsFrequent exposure to loud noiseSALARY:HOURS:BENEFITS:Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceCompany paid Basic Life and AD&D Insurance401(k) with Company matchPaid Time Off and State required Sick Pay8 Paid HolidaysHotel discounts by brandVoluntary Short-Term and Long-Term Disability #J-18808-Ljbffr Providence Hospitality Group
