Senior Compliance Consultant

Planet Technologies, the nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as a Sr. Compliance Consultant . Responsibilities Serve as a trusted advisor to Planet customers by balancing operational requirements with compliance needs in CMMC related projects. Author or augment policies, plans, processes, procedures, plans of action and milestones, and other artifacts in CJIS and FedRAMP environments. Interview customers’ personnel, present findings, conduct security assessments of systems or environments, and provide educational material about compliance. Conduct compliance audits, assessments, and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement. Collaboratively develop policies and procedures to facilitate client adherence to compliance requirements. Assist in developing and standardizing service offerings aligned with industry trends. Use the latest tools and technologies to support high‑profile clients and advance Planet’s service offerings. Represent Planet’s values to customers and deliver assigned projects effectively. Qualifications 5+ years of experience with compliance standards such as CMMC, NIST 800‑53, NIST 800‑171, DoD RMF, CIS, HIPAA, CJIS, and FedRAMP. Bachelor’s degree in a technology‑related field preferred. Certification in at least two relevant areas (e.g., security, compliance, project management), ideally with CCP or CCA Certification. In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft capabilities supporting compliance within Azure and Office 365. Expertise in regulatory compliance, cloud security and compliance, and Microsoft compliance tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as needed. Experience working with compliance SMEs, technical architects, sales, and customers. Proven history of success in a collaborative work environment. Ability to travel as needed per customer request. Ability to obtain and maintain basic security clearance. Salary and Benefits Salaries for Consultants at Planet Technologies range from $120,000 to $210,000. Final pay is determined by factors such as experience, clearance level, industry experience, education, and training.
