Registered Nurse – Vascular Transplant IMC/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care for vascular, kidney, and liver transplant patients in an Intermediate Care setting
• Perform hemodynamic and neurovascular assessments and monitor surgical sites for signs of bleeding or infection
• Evaluate graft function and monitor labs, urine output, fluids, and electrolytes
• Administer pain control, immunosuppressants, anticoagulation therapy, and IV therapies
• Identify and respond to complications including thrombosis, graft dysfunction, and rejection
• Float within specialty and to other units within scope as required; holiday and every-third-weekend availability required

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of IMC/PCU/Stepdown experience (hard stop requirement)
• Transplant nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification – American Heart Association only
• Current ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
• CPI certification required (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for adult and geriatric transplant populations
• Familiarity with immunosuppressant protocols and post-transplant medication management
