Licensure: Active California and Arizona Bar Required

Schedule: Remote (CA) / Hybrid (AZ)
Compensation: $115,000 - $170,000 (Depending on experience)

About the Opportunity:

Our client is seeking a motivated Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join their growing practice. This role offers flexibility for attorneys based in California to work fully remote, while Arizona-based candidates will enjoy a hybrid schedule in a collaborative office environment.

This position provides hands-on litigation experience, strong mentorship, and long-term growth within a well-resourced and supportive firm.

Key Responsibilities

* Defend insured clients in civil litigation matters, including personal injury, general liability, and property damage

* Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice

* Draft and respond to discovery and prepare legal memoranda

* Conduct depositions and attend mediations and court hearings

* Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy

* Maintain consistent client communication and reporting

* Meet deadlines and manage caseloads efficiently

Qualifications

* Active bar admission in both California and Arizona (required)

* 2+ years of insurance defense or related civil litigation experience

* Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

* Ability to manage cases with increasing independence

* Excellent communication and organizational abilities

* Strong work ethic and client-focused mindset
