Lecturer, Electrical & Microelectronic Engineering
RIT's Department of Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering invites applications for a non-tenure track position as a lecturer to teach courses in Electrical Engineering curriculum such as circuits, electronics (both digital and analog), digital systems, microcomputers, linear systems, semiconductors, and programming.
Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Exceptional candidates with a master's degree and significant industrial experience will also be considered. Successful candidates must have demonstrated potential for high-quality teaching and a willingness to implement innovative teaching methodologies. Other responsibilities include advising and mentoring students, supervising co-curricular activities, developing courses and lab modules, participating in / leading K-12 and industry outreach, and managing lab facilities. Candidates with previous college-level teaching experience may be considered for a senior lecturer position or receive credit toward fulfilling the requirements for promotion to senior lecturer.

The Electrical and Microelectronic Department is one of six academic departments in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. The college offers bachelor's and master's in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, and microelectronics engineering as well as four Ph.D. degrees in biomedical and chemical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, mechanical and industrial Engineering, and microsystems engineering and additional master's programs in engineering management and leadership. Serving over 2600 undergraduates and 400 graduate students, the college is committed to growing its research profile while maintaining a strong commitment to undergraduate education.
The Electrical Engineering Department has 550 undergraduates and 145 graduate students. Faculty and staff include 26 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, six lecturers, four support staff, and three academic advisors. In addition to teaching within the department, faculty conduct research and advise doctoral students in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, Imaging Science, Computer and Information Sciences, and Sustainability.

Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering or closely related field. Exceptional candidates with master's degrees and extensive industry experience will be considered.
- Ability and commitment to effectively teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Interest in working in a collaborative, collegial environment
- Prior course or lab (Teaching Assistant) teaching experience in electrical engineering related fields
