Early Childhood (Day Care) Teacher

About the Role:

Kids 'R' Kids of Waterside in Richmond, TX is looking for a passionate and nurturing Early Childhood Teacher (our classes begin from infants to after school care) to join our dedicated team! In this rewarding role, you'll help shape the minds and hearts of our youngest learners in a safe, fun, and stimulating environment. If you love working with children and making a lasting impact, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with early childhood development standards
Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for children in your care
Monitor and document children's developmental milestones and progress
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth and daily activities
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, and rest times
Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom
Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support the overall curriculum and center goals

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; CDA credential or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
Prior experience in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting strongly preferred
Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state childcare regulations
Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both children and parents
