Job Position: CDL-A
Location: Tacoma, WA 98421 Pay Rate: $28.00/hr Shift: Day Shift - Local Deliveries Description: Key Responsibilities- Transport Freight: Drive a Class A commercial motor vehicle to deliver goods on time and without damage.
- Inspect Vehicle: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip safety inspections of the truck and trailer.
- Manage Documentation: Keep accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Follow Safety Rules: Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
- Communicate: Report delays, mechanical issues, or route changes immediately to dispatch.
- License: Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A (CDL-A). NO automatic restriction
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) driving experience.
- Medical Card: Current Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and medical examiner's certificate.
- Clean Record: Safe driving record with no major traffic violations or DUIs in recent years.
- TWIC card required
- Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Lifting: Capability to lift up to 50 pounds when handling freight or securing cargo.
- Stamina: Ability to pass a mandatory DOT drug test and physical fitness screening.
