Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Columbia, SC. Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other tests. Enter patient information accurately and promptly into the system. Process billing information and collect payments. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification, completion of a training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Phlebotomist may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
