Operating Room NurseThe Operating Room Nurse plays a crucial role within the surgical team, demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care. This position is responsible for various essential functions in the operating room environment, ensuring high standards of care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with all aspects of operating room procedures, including Pre-Op, Circulating, and Post-Op duties.Coordinate and ensure availability of surgical supplies and equipment.Ensure timely execution of surgical cases while maintaining open communication with families.Update physician preference cards and manage communications with surgical team members.Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols.Supervise and support personnel providing patient care in the operating room.QualificationsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or a multistate license.Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.A minimum of two years of nursing experience, including significant exposure to the operating room environment.Prior travel nursing experience is highly preferred.This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care.
