Certified Surgical Technologist

NurseIO is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support surgical teams in an outpatient surgical setting. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, preparing surgical instruments and supplies, and anticipating the needs of surgeons and the operating room team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities

* Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures.
* Ensure sterility of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
* Assist surgeons, physicians, and nursing staff during procedures.
* Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts with the circulating nurse.
* Pass instruments and supplies during surgical procedures.
* Handle and label specimens according to facility protocols.
* Assist with cleaning, sterilization, and reprocessing of surgical instruments.
* Follow infection prevention, safety, and aseptic technique standards.
* Maintain accurate documentation as required.
* Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and patients while maintaining confidentiality.
* Support operating room efficiency and patient safety throughout procedures.

Requirements

* Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
* Current BLS certification.
* Current 2-Step TB test/documentation.
* Minimum of one (1) year of surgical technologist experience required.
* Spine, orthopedic, or ambulatory surgery center experience preferred.
* Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, sterile technique, and patient safety practices.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: $46.16 - $55.59 per hour
