Shop Helper (Santa Fe Springs, CA)
Monday - Friday / 7:30am-4:00pm
$20.00 per hour, DOE
A steel supplier company is looking for a Shop Helper to assist in the shop. The role involves cleaning, handling, and preparing steel using hand grinders, power tools, and lifts. Previous experience in a machine shop or with steel is a plus. You are applying through Express Employment Professionals, an award-winning Staffing Firm.
Shop Helper Responsibilities:
- Use hand grinding tools and other power tools to clean steel
- Operate lifts to move materials around the shop
- Assist other shop staff as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Shop Helper Requirements:
- Ability to use hand grinding tools and power tools
- Previous machine shop experience is a plus
- Familiarity with steel is a plus
- Ability to lift and move materials safely
- Strong work ethic and reliability
