We are looking for a qualified full-time (32+ hours/week) Dental/Surgical Assistant to assist in an oral and maxillofacial surgery office. The right applicant will have a compassionate and outgoing personality with a willingness to learn. Hours of operation are 8:30-5:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. There will be some Wednesdays required during the year, as well. Responsibilities Help Dentists prepare for procedures by having the necessary tools sterilized and in place Help keep a patient’s mouth clean and dry during procedures and hand Dentists the necessary tools at the appropriate time Patient education; explain procedures and discuss post-operative instructions This position will include all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery Requirements Previous dental or surgical assisting is preferred Positive attitude and enthusiasm for the workday Excellent customer service skills with an outgoing, people friendly personality The ideal applicant will display and demonstrate excellent communication skills with staff and patients Desire to learn new skills and expand your potential Compensation Package Compensation will be comprised of a base salary that is commensurate with experience Health insurance Paid Time Off 401K
