Production Supervisor

Production SupervisorApex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Production Supervisor for our client based out of Dublin, VA. This assignment is anticipated to be a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment. This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.Responsibilities:Lead, coach, and support employees within a manufacturing or warehouse operation.Coordinate daily staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, and workforce needs.Oversee day-to-day performance related to safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and operational goals.Conduct daily team meetings and communicate priorities, expectations, and performance needs.Address workforce concerns including attendance, overtime, safety, performance, and workplace procedures.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve processes and eliminate waste.Partner with cross-functional teams to identify operational issues and develop effective solutions.Ensure employees follow applicable safety, environmental, health, and workplace requirements.Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to team members.Experience:2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role required.3+ years of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred, ideally within a unionized environment.Associate degree or higher preferred.Strong leadership, coaching, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel; Power BI experience preferred.Lean manufacturing experience and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.Experience managing staffing, employee performance, timekeeping, safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities.Ability to make timely decisions and manage priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.Why Work for Apex Systems:We offer weekly pay, direct deposit, competitive pay ratesHealth/Medical benefits, Life Insurance, 401k, Employee Stock Purchase ProgramDiscounts to most major certification programs, access to multiple technical training platforms and programsApex offers a range of supplemental benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance plans that offer an optional layer of financial protection.
