About OWM

OWM Integrative Wellness is a physician-led, cash-pay integrative medicine practice in Western New York. Our core clinical programs are integrative oncology support, cognitive optimization (The Kaplan Method®), regenerative medicine and photobiomodulation, and advanced IV therapy. We also offer a MedSpa, a supplement dispensary, and a recovery and wellness lounge that is opening soon. Many of our patients come to us after conventional care hasn’t given them answers, and they expect a high level of attention, follow-through, and clinical depth. We run on EOS (the Entrepreneurial Operating System), so every role has clear accountabilities, measurables, and a weekly rhythm.

The Role

We’re hiring a PA who takes real ownership of a patient panel. You’ll work under the supervision of the Medical Director and alongside our nursing and operations teams, managing patient care from intake through ongoing management. That includes evaluations, protocol execution, lab interpretation, IV oversight, and follow-up.

Integrative protocols can be taught. Initiative and judgment can’t. We’re hiring for the second and will provide the first. This role suits someone who notices a missed lab, an overdue follow-up, or a patient who is drifting, and resolves it or escalates it the same day without being asked.

Your Training at OWM

You’ll complete a structured, phased training program taught directly by the Medical Director:

• Integrative and functional medicine foundations: root-cause assessment, advanced and functional lab interpretation, nutrition, and supplementation.

• Integrative oncology support: safety, interactions, timing, and coordination with oncology teams.

• IV therapy protocols: formulations, patient selection, contraindications, and reaction management.

• Regenerative medicine and photobiomodulation, including OWM’s proprietary protocols.

• The Kaplan Method® for cognitive optimization: protocols, assessments, and outcome tracking.

• Genomic health reporting: interpreting results and turning them into clinical plans.

You’ll start with the conventional aspects of care and IV oversight, then take on integrative programs as your competency is signed off.

What You’ll Own

Clinical Care

• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-ups, including history, exam, assessment, and a plan aligned with OWM protocols.

• Order and interpret labs, and turn results into clear, actionable plans.

• Oversee IV therapy safety, including patient appropriateness, dosing checks, and management of acute reactions.

• Support integrative oncology patients safely, alongside their oncology teams.

• Track patient outcomes and assessments across OWM programs.

• Recognize when something falls outside protocol or scope, and escalate promptly and clearly.

Ownership & Follow-Through

• Manage your panel proactively: review results and act on them within defined timeframes, schedule follow-ups, and close open items.

• Complete charting in Cerbo accurately and on time, with charge capture that matches the care delivered.

• Anticipate problems before they reach the patient or the schedule.

• Give nursing staff clear orders, and stay available for their clinical questions.

Team & Practice Contribution

• Report your scorecard measurables in our weekly leadership rhythm, and raise issues rather than letting them sit.

• Help refine protocols, patient education materials, and clinical workflows as the practice grows.

• Represent OWM professionally and warmly. Our patients are paying for an experience, not just a visit.

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program, and NCCPA certified (PA-C).

• Active New York State PA license, or licensure completed before start date.

• DEA registration, or the ability to obtain it.

• Current BLS. ACLS is required or must be obtained within 90 days.

• 2+ years of clinical experience in primary care, internal medicine, oncology, urgent care, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or a comparable setting.

• Comfort managing acute patient situations, including IV reactions.

• Genuine interest in integrative and functional medicine, and a commitment to learning OWM’s protocols.

Nice to Have, Not Required

• Any exposure to integrative, functional, or regenerative medicine, whether through coursework, self-study, or clinical work.

• Oncology or infusion-center experience.

• Familiarity with Cerbo or a similar EHR.

• Experience in a cash-pay or concierge setting.

What Success Looks Like

• First 90 days: Independently managing conventional care and IV oversight for your panel, with training milestones on schedule. Charts closed within 24 hours, results acted on within 48 hours, and zero dropped follow-ups.

• By 6 months: Signed off on core OWM integrative protocols and managing integrative program patients with Medical Director oversight.

• By 12 months: A fully independent integrative clinician on the OWM team who helps improve protocols and train others.

Compensation & Benefits

• $115,000–$135,000 base salary , depending on experience.

• Competency step increase to base salary upon sign-off on core OWM protocols, typically around 6 months.
