Job Details Position: Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week Duration: 13 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 - $1,540 Location: Longview, TX Start Date: 08/31/2026 Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry Job Requirements Current RN license in Texas or a compact state Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience in a related specialty required Current BLS certification from AHA required Current ACLS certification from AHA required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Ability to work independently in a complex acute care environment Strong assessment, documentation, and patient education skills Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Care for cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients with respiratory conditions, sepsis, and multiple co-morbidities Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and nursing standards Monitor patients for treatment effectiveness, changes in condition, and potential side effects Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and timely Address the physical, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on care plans, recovery, and available resources Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team and support appropriate delegation when needed Apply now for this travel RN opportunity in Longview, TX and bring your cardiac stepdown nursing skills to a patient-focused healthcare team.
