Key Responsibilities

• Provide detailed evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations to formulate effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, patient education, and use of modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Regularly document progress and outcomes, ensuring accurate and timely updates in our electronic health records (EHR) system.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and modify treatment plans as needed, setting new therapeutic goals in collaboration with the patient.
• Advise and educate patients and their families on exercises and rehabilitation techniques to promote independence and effective management of their conditions.
• Engage in continual professional development by attending workshops and contributing to team knowledge through discussions of recent evidence-based practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a wide variety of patients, including children, adults, and seniors, who are dealing with conditions resulting from sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, neurological disorders, and chronic pain. Each patient presents a unique situation, providing you with the opportunity to develop personalized treatment strategies that not only address physical impairments but also promote emotional support and motivation.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid State License to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and care teams.
• Proficiency in technology, including EHR systems and basic word processing applications.
• Flexibility and adaptability to manage varying patient needs during therapy sessions.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience with specialized therapeutic techniques (e.g., dry needling, aquatic therapy) is a plus but not mandatory.
• Prior experience in mentoring or guiding new graduates is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. You will also receive a competitive benefits package that includes:
