The Alliant Energy Center of Dane County is located in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin and serves as a multi-building entertainment venue for expositions, conventions, conferences meetings, banquets, consumer shows, outdoor events, concerts, and much more. About the job Step into a role puts you at the heart of event-day energy, where food, beverage, and guest experience come together. You’ll lead operations, inspire teams, and make sure every detail, from service to staffing, runs seamlessly, leaving a lasting impression on every guest. Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management. What you’ll bring Hands-on experience in food and beverage operations, with large-scale venue or stadium exposure a strong plus. Proven leadership skills with the ability to hire, train, and motivate diverse teams in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication and customer service abilities, with a talent for handling challenges quickly and professionally. Solid knowledge of food safety and health regulations to ensure compliance and top-quality service delivery. Flexibility to thrive in an event-driven schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
