Radiologic Technologist - Imaging Procedures

Shift: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

Job Description

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Your responsibilities will include preparing and positioning patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately, and administering contrast media and medications within your scope of practice and regulatory guidelines. You will also observe patients during procedures, report any abnormal activity, and monitor protocols to recommend updates or refinements as needed. Following radiation safety procedures and guidelines is essential in this role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct organ or body scans on patients.
• Prepare and position patients accurately.
• Select anatomic and technical parameters for imaging procedures.
• Administer contrast media and medications as required.
• Observe patients during procedures and report abnormal activity.
• Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards.
• Perform specialized imaging procedures including angio and vascular interventions.
• Assist the Radiologist/PA as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Cardiographic Tech credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
• Radiology Tech licensure issued by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of relevant experience, OR Associate's/Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.
