Board-Certified Children & Adolescent Psychiatrist

New York City Children's Center (NYCCC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting a Board-Certified Children & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join NYCCC's Bronx campus.

Psychiatrists are essential to providing mental health services to the people OMH serves. They provide comprehensive and recovery oriented psychiatric treatment services built on principles of effective, measurable, and accountable care. As medical doctors, psychiatrists are responsible for ensuring that all services are integrated to promote mental and physical health and recovery. Additionally, since psychopharmacology has become an integral component of modern mental health treatment, psychiatrists serve as primary prescribers.

Psychiatrists at OMH:

• Provide primary psychiatric care to patients
• Respond to urgent or emergency clinical issues
• Collaborate with other health care professionals to achieve treatment goals and ensure continuity and quality of care
• Assess and refer individuals for admission, transfer, discharge, and further treatment
• Review and maintain medical records and documentation consistent with facility, agency, State, and federal guidelines
• Serve as members of a multidisciplinary treatment team

Psychiatrists at OMH are eligible for:

Background checks will be required. This position is eligible for a downstate adjustment of $4,000. There are two positions available.
