Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students for the 2026–2027 school year as a School Psychologist in the Houston area. This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate professionals ready to support the academic and emotional success of young learners in a dynamic school environment. With multiple positions available across South and West Houston, you'll collaborate with educational teams and provide vital psychological services to approximately five campuses in your assigned region.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Texas School Psychologist credential/licensure (be prepared to provide current documentation)
- Previous school-based experience required
- Ability to work onsite (hybrid report writing from home may be considered)
- Full-time availability (37.5 hours per week) throughout the school year
- Access to reliable transportation for travel between campuses
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide crisis intervention and support, as well as behavioral and academic consultations
- Maintain thorough records and prepare detailed, compliant psychological reports
- Communicate effectively with students, families, educators, and staff
- Contribute to a positive, student-centered school climate
The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through May 28, 2027, allowing you to create lasting impact over multiple academic cycles.
