Ultrasound Technologist

Role Overview The Ultrasound Technologist performs independent ultrasound procedures, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of ultrasound principles. They utilize non-ionizing ultrasonic waves for diagnostic imaging, applying judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to ensure high-quality results. The role promotes teamwork and aligns with organizational values to deliver patient-centered care. Responsibilities Perform a variety of technical ultrasound procedures with minimal supervision. Apply ultrasound principles accurately for diagnosis. Assist with specialized OB procedures such as CVS, PUBS, and amniocentesis (preferred). Maintain documentation and utilize electronic medical databases like Epic (preferred). Adhere to safety and quality standards, promoting a collaborative team environment. Qualifications & Skills Completion of an education program meeting ARDMS prerequisites for RDMS exam. National Registered Technologist - Sonography or certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Strong technical skills, independent judgment, and knowledge of ultrasound equipment. Preferred experience with OB procedures and electronic medical records.
