We're a local non-profit preschool with a big mission: bring teachers, children, and families together to create an early childhood experience that's second to none. The Roles -

Lead Teachers Twos & PreK

You're the heartbeat of the classroom. You'll design engaging days using our P.L.A.N. curriculum, build real relationships with your students, and set the tone for a safe, joyful, well-run room whether you're guiding curious Twos through their first big discoveries or getting PreK students ready for kindergarten.

What you'll do:

• Plan and lead daily activities using our P.L.A.N. curriculum, tailored to Twos or PreK age groups
• Build strong, trusting bonds with students and their families
• Own classroom management creating a consistent, positive environment for kids and staff alike
• Support each child's physical, social-emotional, and developmental growth
• Communicate clearly and warmly with families, colleagues, and your community

You'll bring:

• 35 years of relevant classroom experience
• A bachelor's degree is required (preferably in the field of education). You may also need an MSDE 90hr Preschool Certificate or CDA Certification with Preschool Endorsement (minimum)
• Solid grasp of child development principles and instructional strategies
• Working knowledge of MSDE regulations
• A warm, friendly, unflappable demeanor is a must
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliability you could set a clock to

Assistant Teachers Twos & PreK

You're the extra set of hands, eyes, and hugs every classroom needs. This is a great fit if you're floating between classrooms, supporting a lead teacher, or building experience toward leading your own Twos or PreK room.

What you'll do:

• Support the Lead Teacher in bringing our P.L.A.N. curriculum to life
• Help build a safe, nurturing space where kids feel secure and loved
• Jump in wherever needed floating between classrooms as our thriving school needs
• Support each child's day-to-day needs with patience and care
• Bring positive energy to your team, your students, and their families

You'll bring:

• Preschool experience of 13 years
• MSDE 90hr Preschool Certificate or CDA Certification with Preschool Endorsement (minimum)
• A team-first attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
• Good communication skills and a calm, friendly presence
• Reliability and punctuality you take seriously

• ???? Apple Ridge/Montgomery Village Situated next to the recreation center on Apple Ridge Road, and serving families in Gaithersburg, Germantown, Montgomery Village, Laytonsville, and Clarksburg
• ???? Congressional Plaza/Rockville In the bustling Rockville community, our beautiful modern campus is within walking distance to Twinbrook Metro
• ???? Bethesda-Chevy Chase/Bethesda On Wisconsin Ave in downtown Bethesda, our multi-level campus is within walking distance to Bethesda Metro
• ???? Potomac Village/Potomac In the heart of Potomac, this multi-level campus has so many hidden treasures: outdoor classroom, art studio, enrichment center, and more.

Pay

• Lead Teacher: $22.00$25.00/hour
• Assistant Teacher/Aide: $18.00$22.00/hour

Good to Know

Per Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all applicants must pass a state and federal background check as a condition of employment. Applicants for our federal center campuses must also receive GSA security clearance through a government background screening.
