About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 6 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Prior PACU experience Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in PACU. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient recovery post-anesthesia. The nurse will be responsible for providing personalized care to adult patients, ensuring their safety and comfort. The nurse will have a patient ratio of 1 to 1 or 1 to 2. The role includes some on-call requirements during nights and weekends. The candidate will also float to preoperative areas as necessary. Common procedures include appendectomies and gallbladder surgeries. Candidates must be aware of the required certifications and provide them during the hiring process. A professional appearance is expected, without open-toed shoes or artificial nails. The position has an emphasis on collaboration with the medical team to optimize patient outcomes.
