About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments incorporating all four phases of the nursing process, considering patient culture, age, developmental level, and risk factors
• Develop individualized care plans in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team, and fully implement patient care therapies and procedures within scope of practice
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition in a timely and appropriate manner
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with case management
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated care provided by other team members
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and applications
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures

• Previous nursing experience in a progressive care, stepdown, or IMC/PCU setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Demonstrated ability to promote a positive team dynamic and healing environment
