Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Note – Travel Experience Required Job Summary We are seeking a Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical to provide high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. This role involves delivering bedside care to pre- and post-surgical patients, monitoring patient conditions, and administering treatments in accordance with established medical protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to delivering safe and effective patient care. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals Provide direct bedside care to pre- and post-surgical patients Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments Perform clinical procedures such as dressing changes, IV insertion, and catheter placement Monitor patient vital signs and report any adverse reactions or changes in condition Operate and adjust medical equipment and accurately record patient data Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning and patient care transitions Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, recovery, and post-operative care Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation Adhere to established nursing standards, protocols, and best practices Required Qualifications Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or similar clinical setting Experience providing care to adult and geriatric patient populations Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience working with electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic) Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with strong attention to detail Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working with post-surgical patients across specialties such as orthopedic, urology, colorectal, bariatric, neurology, or general surgery Familiarity with clinical tools and systems such as Pyxis and SBAR communication methods Experience working in medium to large inpatient units Certifications (If Any) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required #J-18808-Ljbffr
