Description Location: UCHealth , US:CO:Fort Collins Department: Accel Staffing Dvlpmnt Prog Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $22.75 - $35.26 / hour. Summary: As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Responsibilities: Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN. Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: Basic Life Support Licensed Practical Nurse Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing program. State licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN) or Vocational Nurse (LVN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Relevant certification as determined at position level. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
