Our employees develop, build and work on the world's most advanced electromagnetic spectrum operations systems – detecting, locating and countering threats for joint and international aircrew. We develop sophisticated digital Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, and we are looking for motivated, positive minded engineers to join cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams. Key EW program objectives are to improve/enhance air vehicle survivability, through the abilities to detect, deny, deceive, degrade and/or disrupt adversaries Integrated Air Defenses.

We are hiring Systems Engineers to participate in Electronic Warfare Systems development programs in Totowa, NJ. As a Systems Engineer, you will be a member of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team focused on modeling, designing, developing, integrating, debugging, testing, fielding, and supporting our innovative Electronic Systems.

Typical Job Responsibilities:

• Creation and/or review of systems, software, component, subsystem requirements and operational concepts
• Deriving, decomposing, allocation and traceability of requirements to engineering discipline
• Identification of Risks and Opportunities and executing on mitigation strategies
• Identification of System Technical Performance Measures
• Participation in trade studies, analysis, peer reviews, and customer meetings
• Support system modeling & simulation, design, and development activities
• Creation of external and internal interface definition
• Knowledge of model based systems engineering tools and approach
• Presentation of findings at design reviews internally or with customers
• Creation of test plans, test procedures and reports
• Creation and/or review of algorithms
• Analysis of data to inform decision making
• Execution of integration, verification, and validation activities and tests
• Participate in external field and flight tests of our EW Systems
• Participate in constant improvement of the System Engineering discipline

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science or related
• 2-20+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree in electrical engineering or computer science/engineering
• Experience with Electronic Warfare systems and/or complex electromechanical products
• Experience with systems engineering activities across the product development lifecycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, architecture, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test, production, sustainment)

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $145049 - $246584 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
