Our sharp analytical skills, paired with the latest technology, allow us to give our clients clarity - not just answers in all areas of business. We value the diverse backgrounds and perspectives that enable us to think globally. As part of One team, One Kroll, you’ll contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment that empowers you to excel. Kroll’s Cyber Risk team works on over 3,000 cases a year, including some of the most complex and high-profile matters in the world. With experts based globally and supported by advanced technology, we help protect our clients’ data, people, operations, and reputation through assessments, investigations, intelligence, and strategic advisory services. Through a combination of subject matter expertise, global research capabilities and flexible technology tools, Kroll helps clients take a risk-based approach toward meeting obligations or remediating failures regarding cybersecurity, privacy program maturity and related regulatory mandates. Our engagements include Virtual CISO, regulatory and compliance assessments, strategies and security program design, transactional due-diligence, framework assessments, expert testimony, privacy program building and a myriad of other advisory efforts. We are seeking a Director to lead and grow Kroll's global Cyber Due Diligence and adjacent services practice. This individual will be responsible for the overall leadership, quality, commercial performance, and continued evolution of Kroll's cyber due diligence capabilities across private equity, corporate M&A, and investment clients. The successful candidate will serve as the senior leader for cyber due diligence engagements globally, providing governance and oversight across delivery teams, driving consistency of methodology and reporting, supporting business development with investors and corporate acquirers, and helping clients understand and manage cyber risk throughout the investment lifecycle. In addition to transaction-related work, the role will collaborate closely with the leaders of Kroll's portfolio monitoring and value creation services to ensure alignment between transaction due diligence, post-close value creation, and ongoing cyber risk management activities. Responsibilities: Lead Kroll's global Cyber Due Diligence practice, driving quality, consistency, growth, and service innovation across all regions. Own the overall strategy, growth, commercial performance, resource allocation, quality standards, and market positioning of Kroll's global Cyber Due Diligence practice. Provide senior oversight, governance, and quality assurance across cyber due diligence engagements, ensuring consistent, high-quality client deliverables. Serve as the executive sponsor and senior advisor, in collaboration with peers, for key private equity, investment, and corporate M&A relationships. Lead client scoping, proposal, and pursuit discussions to improve conversion rates, turnaround times, and commercial outcomes. Develop and expand relationships with private equity sponsors, investment funds, corporate development teams, lenders, and transaction advisors to drive recurring due diligence opportunities. Partner with account leaders and senior relationship managers to position Cyber Due Diligence as a strategic entry point into broader Advisory, Resilience, Transformation, Managed Services, and AI Governance engagements. Manage and coordinate delivery resources across multiple concurrent transactions and strategic client engagements globally. Oversee the delivery of cyber due diligence, portfolio assessments, value creation reviews, cyber post-close planning, and, in partnership with peers, portfolio monitoring engagements. Develop, standardize, and enhance due diligence methodologies, assessment frameworks, reporting templates, and delivery processes. Support the development of adjacent transaction-focused services including portfolio cyber assessments, remediation planning, post-close value creation initiatives, and recurring risk monitoring services. Work closely with senior stakeholders including investors, operating partners, boards, CISOs, CIOs, risk leaders, and executive management teams. Identify and develop cross-sell opportunities into cyber advisory, cyber resilience, security transformation, AI governance, vCISO, third-party risk, and managed services offerings. Collaborate with Kroll's broader Cyber Risk, Technology Advisory, Investigations, Restructuring, Valuation, and Transaction Advisory teams to deliver integrated solutions. Produce and present concise, executive-level findings and investment-focused recommendations to clients and investment committees. Contribute to thought leadership, market positioning, and service development initiatives within the private equity and transaction advisory sectors. Mentor and develop due diligence practitioners and broader advisory resources across the Cyber Advisory business. Serve as a trusted senior advisor to executive stakeholders, including CISOs, CIOs, General Counsel, risk leaders, boards, and senior management teams. Work with clients’ security, technology, legal, compliance, and business teams to translate risk findings into practical, prioritized, and executable improvement plans. Oversee delivery teams, manage engagement quality, review fieldwork and deliverables, and ensure outputs meet Kroll’s standards for technical depth, commercial relevance, and executive clarity. Communicate findings, strategy, recommendations, and risk implications clearly to technical teams, executive leadership, legal counsel, boards, and internal or external stakeholders. Support and lead the development of proposals, statements of work, client presentations, market-facing materials, and strategic account plans. Work closely with sales, marketing, client relationship leaders, and other Kroll practices to identify and develop new business opportunities. Help develop junior and mid-level team members through coaching, quality review, delivery oversight, and support for career progression. Contribute to the growth of Kroll's Transaction Advisory and Cyber Due Diligence capabilities globally. Qualifications: Significant experience delivering and leading cyber due diligence engagements for private equity firms, corporate acquirers, infrastructure investors, and other financial sponsors. Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles, M&A processes, investment decision-making, value creation initiatives, and portfolio governance. Experience supporting or collaborating with portfolio monitoring, cyber benchmarking, value creation, or portfolio risk management initiatives. Proven ability to manage high volumes of concurrent engagements while maintaining quality, consistency, and turnaround expectations. Strong commercial track record supporting revenue growth within private equity, M&A, transaction services, or cybersecurity consulting environments. Ability to identify opportunities for broader advisory, transformation, resilience, managed services, and strategic consulting engagements. Significant experience in cybersecurity consulting, cyber risk management, information security, technology risk, AI Security/Governance, resilience, regulatory advisory, and/or related professional services roles. Demonstrated ability to lead complex client engagements, manage senior stakeholders, and deliver high-quality advisory work in a fast-paced consulting environment. Strong knowledge of cyber strategy, governance, risk management, security operating models, control frameworks, incident readiness, third-party risk, cyber resilience, and security program maturity. Proven ability to engage confidently with senior executives, boards, CISOs, CIOs, legal counsel, risk leaders, and business stakeholders. Strong commercial mindset, with experience supporting business development, proposals, account growth, client relationship management, and market-facing initiatives. Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams as part of both client delivery and broader practice growth. Ability to connect business strategy, cyber risk, technology, governance, controls, and regulatory expectations into practical recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, executive-ready deliverables and present complex topics in a concise, business-focused manner. Strong problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to new client challenges. Ability to manage multiple engagements, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively. Experience working with diverse and distributed teams. Ability to travel as required to support client delivery, business development, and internal initiatives. The ideal candidate combines deep cyber due diligence expertise with strong commercial instincts and practice leadership capability. They will have a proven track record supporting private equity investors, corporate acquirers, and transaction stakeholders through complex investment decisions. While Cyber Due Diligence will be the primary focus of the role, the successful candidate will be expected to identify opportunities to expand client relationships into broader Cyber Advisory, Resilience, Transformation, Managed Services, and Value Creation offering Benefits: Healthcare Coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans.
