Job Description
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive mental health care, focusing on assessing, diagnosing, and managing a range of psychiatric conditions including anxiety disorders, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and treatment-resistant depression. This role involves close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver personalized treatment plans and ensure continuity of care within a supportive and therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and diagnose psychiatric conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Manage and monitor psychiatric medication regimens
- Provide therapeutic counseling to patients
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in electronic health records
- Coordinate patient care across multiple services and providers
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or completion of a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in psychiatric assessment and pharmacology
- Experience in mental health counseling
- Strong communication skills with patients
- Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated empathy and problem-solving abilities
