Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days, 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide total patient care in a 12-bed ICU setting with a patient ratio of 1:2–3
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and administer titratable drips
• Mix and administer medications and perform patient hygiene care
• Float to Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical departments as needed per unit float rotation
• Assist with call light response, medication pass, patient transport, IV starts, and blood draws when floating to the ER
• Take full patient assignments of up to 6 patients or function as an aide when floating to Med-Surg

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability and willingness to float to ER and Med-Surg departments
• Must be eligible for New Mexico state fingerprinting; agency must be registered with the state of New Mexico (fingerprint process may take several weeks)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
• Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene in an ICU environment
