Overview
The Marine Expeditionary Force (MESF) Learning Standards Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) supports Maritime Expeditionary Security Group ONE (MESG ONE) Force Generation Professional Support Services at Navy Outlying Field Imperial Beach, California. MESG ONE develops and generates trained Maritime Expeditionary Security Force units for operational employment throughout the Navy's numbered fleets.
The MESF Learning Standards Support SME supports the Course Curriculum Model Manager (CCMM) in the development, assessment, and standardization of MESF training curricula. The SME provides expertise across Patrol Boat Operations and Tactical Communications, both ashore and afloat, and Expeditionary Security curricula while helping ensure Courses of Instruction (COIs) comply with applicable Navy learning standards and higher-level directives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CCMM across curriculum functional areas including:
- Patrol Boat Operations and Tactical Communications, ashore and afloat
- Expeditionary Security
- Assess MESF curricula and COIs for compliance with applicable Navy learning standards, directives, and guidance
- Evaluate and report curriculum compliance with OPNAVINST 1500.75 (series), NECCINST 1500.13 (series), NAVEDTRA M-142 guidelines, and other higher-level directives
- Recommend improvements to standardize training assessment, qualification standards, and certification processes across MESG ONE units
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience developing NETC-compliant courses and curricula
- Master Training Specialist qualification
- Minimum 3 years of practical MESF curriculum development experience obtained within the last 5 years
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
Desired
- Master's degree in an educational field of study
- Fluency in the use of civilian and/or Government artificial intelligence (AI) assistance tools
Security Clearance
- Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance
