About the Role

The Company is in need of a Head of Operations to take on a pivotal role in the launch and management of its Albuquerque facility. The successful candidate will be a seasoned leader with a background in operations, facilities, or site management, particularly within technical, highly regulated, manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, energy, or similar environments. This role demands a hands-on approach to overseeing day-to-day site operations, building and establishing operational processes, and managing all aspects of facilities and office operations. The Head of Operations will also be responsible for vendor and contractor management, operational coordination, and maintaining government and customer relations. A key aspect of the position is the ability to proactively identify operational risks and recommend solutions, as well as the experience in supporting government customers, regulatory agencies, or compliance-driven environments. Applicants for the Head of Operations position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' experience in a relevant leadership role and a proven track record of success in managing facilities, budgets, vendors, and operational priorities. Experience in scaling operations within a startup or high-growth organization is preferred, as is a background in high-hazard, laboratory, manufacturing, or industrial operations. The role requires a candidate who is comfortable operating independently, with a high level of ownership, accountability, and sound judgment. Familiarity with government programs, particularly those related to the DoD, DOE, or other federal entities, is also highly desirable. The Head of Operations will be expected to work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, technical, and safety, to ensure the facility is prepared to support critical customer programs and operates safely and efficiently.
