Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience leading programs across multiple geographies and time zones.

Preferred qualifications:

Strong understanding of ML/AI principles and distinctions from traditional software development.

Excellent organizational skills for managing complex stakeholder relationships, executive communication, and resolving cross-team dependencies.

Demonstrated success in fast-paced program execution with high ambiguity and experience managing product launches or horizontal technical programs.

As a Technical Program Manager driving AI Safety and Security Launches, you will operate at the intersection of innovation and responsibility orchestrating end-to-end launch lifecycles and aligning global cross-functional partners to guarantee that Gemini models deploy with the highest standards of safety and security.

This is a high-impact role where you will work in a fast-paced environment with the ambiguity typical of AI research, collaborating closely with a virtual team across multiple time zones. This role requires a highly organized individual who excels at managing complex stakeholder relationships, resolving cross-team dependencies, and aligning teams across DeepMind to deliver successful launch outcomes.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $217000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Partner closely with GenAI Safety, Security, Trust and Safety, and Legal teams to manage the end-to-end operational lifecycle of model deployments.

Streamline execution, refine operational processes, and implement tooling upgrades across all launch programs.

Identify, investigate, and resolve critical bottlenecks to keep research and engineering teams moving quickly.

Build consensus and influence key outcomes across teams without relying on direct authority.

Author and maintain end-to-end launch playbooks, standardized templates, intake reviews, and go/no-go approval workflows.
