Position Overview

The Pediatric Ophthalmologist will provide comprehensive medical and surgical eye care for infants, children, and adolescents. The role includes diagnosis, treatment, and management of a broad range of pediatric ocular conditions while working closely with a multidisciplinary pediatric care team.

Clinical Responsibilities

\tDiagnose and treat a full spectrum of pediatric ophthalmic conditions including:

\t\tCorneal disease
\t\t
\t\t
\t\tGeneral ocular disease
\t\t
\t\t
\t\tRetinopathy of Prematurity (ROP)
\t\t
\t\t
\t\tStrabismus and amblyopia
\t\t
\t\t
\t\tPediatric glaucoma and cataracts
\t\t
\t\t
\t\tOculoplastics conditions
\t\t
\t\t
\t\tOcular trauma and eye injuries
\t\t
\t
\t
\t
\tProvide surgical and non-surgical treatment as appropriate
\t
\t
\tCollaborate with pediatric subspecialists and referring providers
\t
\t
\tParticipate in clinical program development and quality initiatives
\t

Qualifications

\t
\tBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Ophthalmology
\t
\t
\tCompletion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency and Pediatric Ophthalmology fellowship
\t
\t
\tCommitment to patient-centered pediatric care
\t
\t
\tStrong clinical and surgical skills across comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology
