The Role We are looking for a talented and business-minded attorney to join our legal team as Regional Legal Counsel for the US and Canada. This is a high-visibility, high-impact roleembedded within a dynamic regional business team, where you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across multiple business functions. You will be the go-to legal partner for the region - handling everything from complex commercial transactions and compliance matters to litigationmanagement and corporate governance. What You Will Do Day-to-Day Legal Support Provide proactive and practical legal guidance on employment and labor law, corporate governance, and operational compliance across the US and Canada. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with local and international legal requirements. Commercial & Contracting Lead and support negotiations of customer, vendor, and other commercial contracts, ensuring SLB's interests are protected while enabling business growth. Dispute Resolution & Litigation Manage disputes, regulatory inquiries, and litigation matters, coordinating with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to mitigate legal and business risk. Compliance & Ethics Champion SLB's Ethics & Compliance program, including anti-corruption, trade controls, and data privacy initiatives. Conduct compliance investigations and support a culture of integrity throughout the region. Corporate & Regulatory Provide legal support for corporate governance, entity management, M&A activity, government relations, and regulatory filings within the region. Outside Counsel Management Oversee the engagement, quality, and cost-effectiveness of outside legal counsel. Business Growth Identify and support legal frameworks for new business opportunities and growth initiatives in the region. What We Are Looking For JD from an ABA-accredited law school; admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing. 2-7 years of relevant legal experience, whether in a law firm, in-house, or both. Strong business judgment and ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a complex, fast-moving environment. Experience in commercial contracting, compliance, or corporate matters strongly preferred. Litigation background is a plus.
