- Collaborative problem-solving and maturity when working with students, teachers, school leaders, and other AmeriCorps members.
Service Expectations
Members must complete 1,200 verified service hours by June 17, 2027 and monitor their progress throughout the term. Members serve on designated in-service and training days and participate in required events, which may include Saturday Academy, Power Up, MLK Day of Service, AmeriCorps Week, Career Day, an end-of-year celebration, and Commission-hosted events. Some required service may occur outside the typical Monday-Friday schedule with advance notice.

The estimated pre-tax living allowance is distributed on biweekly payments. Please note that the precise living allowance total and bi-weekly payment details will be clearly outlined in your offer letter and/or during the onboarding process.
- Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $5,176.50 after successful completion of the 1,200-hour term and all program requirements.
- Eligible members may request student-loan forbearance and payment of accrued interest, subject to AmeriCorps rules.
- Pre-service orientation, ongoing coaching and training, career development, and access to applicable AmeriCorps alumni resources.
