Medical Receptionist Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that patients receive excellent customer service, while obtaining essential information, handling documentation, and working with our EMR system.

E ssential Job Responsibilities:

• Greeting all patients and visitors to the office in a prompt, polite, and helpful manner
• Obtaining current and accurate patient information at each appointment including patient demographics and insurance information
• Ensuring that we have an insurance authorization in place, if needed
• Responsible for collection of copays, as well as outstanding balances due
• Scheduling, confirmation, and rescheduling of patient appointments as necessary

E xperience:

• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality
• Familiarity with medical office protocols and procedures
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with EMR systems, as well as multi-line phone systems
• Preferably 2 years of experience in a medical office setting
• Bilingual a plus!
