Design Engineer

We're hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer: Onsite for our client. What You'll Bring Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Master's degree preferred Minimum of 3 years experience in similar field Experience in the design of dynamic mechanical and electro-mechanical components and mechanisms for aerospace Proficiency in 3D CAD environment (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) Practical troubleshooting of mechanisms in the context of the development cycle Certification of mechanical and electro-mechanical components for civil or military aerospace applications Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) design and certification (including test and computation) Stress analysis Advanced CAD/manufacturing tools What You'll Do Understand the customer requirements and track the compliance Design validation and verification (analysis, testing, reports) Create 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings Maintain drawing list, technical reports, and task lists Review deviation requests, material reports, change requests Apply Design for cost/manufacture/assembly principles Participate and be "hands-on" in the troubleshooting of mechanical issues Top performers are fast learners, strong team players, and committed to accuracy and inclusiveness, Relocation is supported for this position Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan.
