The Supervising Engineer will represent the firm in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members. The role is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and assigning projects to the engineering team. Mission Critical, Science + Technology, Healthcare, and Project Management experience is a plus.Job Responsibilities:Serve as the Engineer of Record on dedicated projectsLead and supervise staff members as they perform their tasksParticipate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff managementAdditional Responsibilities:Provide periodic objective and comprehensive employee evaluationsAct as Engineer of Record on dedicated projectsAssist the Technical Manager and Chief Engineer with business unit technical training and staff mentoringCoordinate and assign projects to the engineering team, including system design and project engineeringEstablish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projectsManage construction administration duties, including field reports, responses to RFIs, and processing Bulletins and AddendaCoordinate with accounting to prepare monthly project invoicesMonitor project accounts receivable and contact clients as needed to expedite paymentMonitor correspondence between staff, clients, contractors, owners, and other project team membersParticipate in and contribute to the firmwide Expert Teams committeeParticipate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff managementPrepare proposals and administer project contracts between the firm and the client, including Add Service AgreementsSupervise and lead coordination meetingsSupervise the preparation of analysis and reports of system options and building conditionsJob Requirements:Current PE registration/licensure requiredHealthcare design experience requiredExperience with Critical Facilities, Commercial, and Aviation projects is a plusBachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution12+ years of experience working in a consulting firmSenior-level experience with a background in the MEP Engineering Industry3+ years of supervisory experienceHands-on design and CAD/Revit experience requiredStrong technical experience in electrical engineering design
