Job Summary

Ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Carroll Hospital Center. Schedules cases proficiently into Paragon Resource Scheduling utilizing appropriate Resources and according to Departmental Policies. Documents appointment detail to communicate case specific information. Accurately selects patients from the MPI and verifies demographic information including insurance information. Obtains ICD9 codes at the point of scheduling and resolves medical necessity check issues; prints ABNs as indicated Utilizes proper channels of communication to resolve Departmental issues; communicates to management potential issues.

Requirements

• Preferred High School Diploma Medical Terminology required
• 2-4 years Hospital or Medical office experience Required

Specific Requirements Interpersonal skills (both written and oral) are necessary in order to communicate with dept. personnel, physicians, physician office staff, supervisors and other hospital depts. Must be at least 18 years old to witness patient/guarantor signatures.
