Heavy Civil Project Engineer

Job Location East Wenatchee, WA. (Projects Throughout Central & Eastern Washington State) Job Summary Pipkin Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Engineer who wants to build a long‑term career managing complex infrastructure projects throughout Washington State. This position is ideal for someone with 2-5 years of construction or engineering experience who wants to develop into a Project Manager and eventually lead projects independently. Fast‑track path to Project Manager Exposure to all phases of construction from bidding through closeout Diverse and technically challenging projects Direct mentorship from experienced project managers and company leadership Strong company culture with opportunities for growth Vehicle allowance and bonus opportunities Located in Central Washington with exceptional outdoor recreation and quality of life Compensation Base compensation $80,000 – $110,000 DOE, Vehicle Allowance, Annual Bonus Potential, Benefits Package including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k), paid sick leave. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Primary Responsibilities Review plans, specifications, and contract documents Assist with quantity takeoffs and estimating Prepare submittals, RFIs, and project documentation Track project costs, production, and schedule performance Assist with change orders and progress billings Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders Participate in project meetings and owner communications Support quality control and project closeout activities Conduct regular field visits to support operations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred 2-5 years of construction, engineering, or project coordination experience Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Ability to work in both office and field environments Willingness to travel throughout Washington as needed Ability to work in both office and construction site environments, including walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders or slopes, and performing site inspections in varying weather conditions Other Pipkin Inc is a Federal Contractor.
