Forklift DriverMega Thrift is looking for an accountable Forklift Driver to operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into trucks or storage facilities.Duties and ResponsibilitiesObtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facilityLoading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucksMoving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facilityStacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructionsChecking loads are secureStacking empty palletsPerforming daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipmentRemoving machine attachments and waste material from machinesExamining products to verify conformance to quality standardsDumping materials into machine hoppersRequirementsRegularly sitting on a powered industrial truckFrequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of timeHaving a good sense of balanceHaving good eye-hand-foot coordinationAbility to assess weights and judge distances and heightsAbility to work in varying temperatures, depending upon seasonPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to 6-8 hours per shift.
