Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Expected 37.5 hours/week | Shift options include 6:00 AM–4:00 PM (3 days), Float Day 6:30 AM–3:30 PM or 12:00 PM–9:30 PM, or Overnight | Housing may be available

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging exams of designated anatomical areas in accordance with established policies and procedures, observing all radiation safety standards
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use of pediatric immobilization devices and adhere to applicable safety precautions
• Prepare and enter written documentation including informed patient consent, patient chart documentation, and other related records
• Observe sterile and aseptic techniques as required; regularly check equipment, supplies, and accessories
• Assess and address the physical and emotional needs of adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients, including accommodations for hearing-impaired or physically challenged individuals
• Perform related duties in PACS and maintain computer literacy; adhere to Bio-Safety and Radiation Safety rules and regulations

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• NYSDOH License required
• ARRT certification required
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Familiarity with PACS systems and related radiology technology
• Demonstrated ability to recognize and address patient fears and apprehensions related to imaging exams
