Scope:
Maintain established quality, cleanliness and service standards of the Agronomy Dept. Primary Responsibilities:- Reel Grinding
- Check/ replace reel bearings as needed
- Check/ replace roller bearings as needed
- Grind reels
- Grind/ replace bedknifes as needed
- Reassemble reels
- Make any repairs as needed
- Set reel to bedknife
- Prepare reels for installation on mowers
- Daily maintenance on equipment
- Blow-off equipment after use
- Grease equipment as needed
- Check safety switches/ seat belts
- Check fluids
- Check tires/ flat repair
- Shop Clean-up
- Maintain clean and organized grinding area
- Maintain clean and organized shop
- Sweep shop as needed
- Mop shop floor as needed
- Put all shop supplies away when finished
- Requires working knowledge of the general operation of gasoline, electric, and diesel-powered equipment, the proper methods of servicing golf course equipment, and the repair and adjustment of power mowing equipment.
- Training will be provided for this position
- Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession.
- Ability to use common mechanical tools.
- Adheres to the proper recycling and/or disposal of various oils, compounds, and other fluids such as antifreeze and oil filters.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ability to communicate clear instructions and comprehend and carry out instructions.
- Position requires a highly professional demeanor with members, guests and staff, adaptability, flexibility and adherence to a strict level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to commit to hours of operation and understand that hours will fluctuate due to tournaments and special projects.

- Working in an outdoor environment with fluctuating temperatures.
- Working in an outdoor environment with rugged, uneven terrain.
- To work necessary hours to complete the job including over-time.
- Ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.
